David L.H. Payne

David was raised in Grapevine, Texas where he had the opportunity to enjoy both the small town life and the big city business environment provided by nearby Dallas. He attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and learned the core principles of Texas A&M University, which are Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Loyalty, Respect & Selfless Service. He apply all of these principles in both his legal practice and daily life. During his time at Texas A&M University, he had internships with IBM and Waste Management, Inc. Both provided him with a valuable business background which became the basis of his legal career. Prior to attending law school, he worked at Waste Management, Inc. in their Houston offices.

He attended South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. During law school, he continued to expand his business and litigation knowledge through internships and externships. After graduation from law school, he had the privilege of learning the art of litigation and business practice skills at a well known regional firm. In 2006, he decided to open Payne & Powell, PLLC with the idea that by having fewer clients, he could provide better personal and legal services. After over a decade of practice, it has proven to be true time and time again.
